Art21 invites you to participate in Art21 Access '09, an international screening initiative that provides opportunities to increase knowledge of contemporary art, ignite dialogue, and inspire creative thinking through hundreds of public screenings and events in advance of the premiere of the fifth season of the Peabody Award-winning television series, Art:21—Art in the Twenty-First Century, this fall.
Art21 Access '09 is organized in collaboration with Americans for the Arts as part of National Arts and Humanities Month (October 2009). For additional information and materials, please visit the Art21 Access '09 site.
In addition to offering a preview DVD of the brand new season of the Peabody Award-winning Art:21 series, Art 21 Access ’09 provides participating partners with resources, free of cost, to plan and host their own events. All Art21 Access '09 venues will receive:
- Screening Guides and Educator Guides;
- Postcards, posters, and other customizable press materials;
- Embeddable video trailers and digital badges for use on your organization's website and other online tools to promote events;
- Event listings on the Art21 website, blog, and calendar;
- Opportunities to participate in topical conversations using Twitter and other social networking tools;
- Technical assistance from Art21 staff.
300+ partners participated in our Art21 Access '07 initiative, and we hope to make Art21 Access '09 our most international season yet. Join us in helping to give audiences behind the scenes access to the creative processes, inspirations, and ideas of some of today's most thought-provoking art and artists by scheduling an Art21 Access '09 event.
